Day 1 .  Victoria  Falls.

Is also known as Mosi –oa –Tunya which means “The Smoke That Thunders” in the local Tonga language , highlighting the powerfull mist and noise created by the falls . The mist from the falls creates a unique mircoclimate , supporting a rainforest ecosystem on the surrounding cliffs.

Accommodation : Shearwater Explorers Village / Bayete Lodge /Drifter inn or similar.

Highlights included : Victoria Falls guided tour.

 

Day 2 . Hwange National Park.

Is the largest natural reserve in Zimbabwe , total  area is 14600 square kilometers of sandy soils , grasslands , acacia woodlands and teak forests.

Route : Victoria Falls to Hwange — 3hours—200km.

Accommodation : Miombo Safari Camp/ Hwange Safari Lodge or similar.

Highlights included : Painted dog project and nambya culture village tour.

 

Day 3 . Hwange National  Park.

It is known for one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa , especially elephant and buffalo , and for its year-round wildlife viewng.

Accommodation :Miombo Safari Camp/ Hwange Safari Lodge or similar.

Highlights included : Full day game drive.

 

Day 4 . Matopos National Park.

Matopo is thus a place of secrets ,hidden valleys , concealed caves and forgotten passages .  It is a place of refuge and has been used as such by man and animals for aeons . Currently set aside for keeping rhinos since its more central of the country avoid the rhino poaching .

Accommodation : Matopos Hills Lodge or similar.

Highlights included : Bulawayo city tour and museum visit.

 

Day 5 . Bulawayo

Bulawayo is the second largest city of Zimbabwe , was the headquarters of national railways of Rhodea and Nyasaland . It have the railway museum .

Route : Matopos to Bulawayo –1hour –40km.

Accommodation : Travellers Lodge /Bannff Lodge or similar.

Highlights included : Full day at Matopos national park including rhino tracking.

 

Day 6 . Great Zimbabwe.

The ruins at Great Zimbabwe are remarkable , lofty , majestic , awe-inspiring  and timeless .The quality of the building in the places is outstanding . It was built by craftsmen who took a pride in their work . They is nothing to compare with it in Africa , however when viewed in the context of history , it is more remarkable still . Bantu-speaking people those who built Great Zimbabwe – are not the original inhabitants of this part of Africa .

Route : Bulawayo to Masvingo—5hours—305km.

Highlights included : The Great Zimbabwe ruins tour.

 

Day 7 . Harare.

Harare is the capital city of Zimbabwe.

Route : Masvingo to Harare—4hours –270km.

Accommodation : Own arrangements.

Highlights included : Drive to the Capital City of Zimbabwe , the tour end after lunch time in Harare .
