The circle tour of Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Day 1. Victoria Falls.

Is also known as Mosi–oa-Tunya which means “The Smoke That Thunders” in the local Tonga language ,highlighting the powerful mist and noise created by the falls.The mist from the  falls creates  a  unique micro climate ,supporting a rainforest ecosystem on the  surrounding cliffs.

Accommodation : Shearwear Explorers Village/ Drifters Inn / Bayete Lodge / A’zambezi River Lodge or similar.

Highlight included : Dinner cruise.

 

Day 2. Victoria Falls .

It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the largest and most  famous  waterfall system in the world . The area around Victoria Falls is known for various adrenaline pumping activities such as bungee jumping , white-water rafting  and many more.            

 Accommodation : Shearwater Explorers Village/ Drifters Inn / Bayete Lodge / A’zambezi River Lodge or similar.

Day 3. Hwange National Park.

Is the largest natural reserve in Zimbabwe , 14600 square kilometres total covered of sandy soils , grasslands , acacia woodlands and teak forests . It lies in the northwest of the country .

Route : Victoria Falls to Hwange – 200km – 3hours.

Accommodation : Miombo  Lodge/ Hwange Safari Lodge or similar.

Highlight included : Village tour and painted dogs project.

 

Day 4. Hwange National Park.

It is known for one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa , especially elephant and buffalo , and for its yearly –round wildlife viewing.

Accommodation : Miombo  Lodge/ Hwange Safari Lodge or similar.

Highlights included : Full day game drive.

 

Day 5. Matopos National Park.

Matopos is a place of secrets , hidden valleys , concealed caves ans forgotten passages . It is a place of refuge and has been used as such by man and animals for aeons . Currently it is set aside to keep rhinos since its more central easy to control poaching of rhinos .

Route : Hwange to Bulawayo  – 350km -4hours.

Accommodation : The Big Cave Lodge / Matopos Hills Lodge or similar.

Highlights included : City tour.

 

Day 6. Bulawayo.

Bulawayo is the second largest city in Zimbabwe . Within the city are country main museum , excellent art galleries , theatres and splendid recreational park .

Accommodation : Travellers Guest House/ Bannff  Lodge or similar.

Highlights included : Full day at Matopos .

 

Day 7. Makgadikgadi Salt Pans.

The largest salt pans in the world and displayed a unique expanse landscape with fascinating natural scenic beauty with expanse of flat white baked featureless surface . It covers 30000 square kilometers total area covered .

Route : Bulawayo to Nata – 500km -7hours.

Accommodation : Nata Lodge/ Planet Baobab Lodge or similar.

Highlights included : Pan drive .

 

Day 8. Maun.

Is the gateway into the Okavango Delta , Moremi and Kalahari for the main tourists in Botswana . It is the administrative centre of Ngamiland district and the seat of power of the Batawana people.

Route : Nata to Maun – 320km -4hours.

Accommodation : Sedia  Riverside Hotel / Island Safaris Lodge or similar.

Highlights optional : Scenic flight over the Okavango Delta.

 

Day 9. Okavango Delta.

The Okavango Delta is the world’s largest inland delta . The Okavango river has no outlet to the sea , so it empties into the sands of the Kalahari desert , irrigating some 16000 square kilometres.  This is a truly wild animals are not familiar with people. This is  a  true  wilderness area where both animals and people co-exist.

Route: Maun to Okavango Delta – 30km -3hours.

Accommodation  :  Bush camping in the Delta.

Highlights included : Mokoro ride, nature walks.

 

Day 10. Maun.

After our long morning nature walk , we ride mokoro back to Maun.

Route : Okavango Delta to Maun – 30km – 3hours.

Accommodation : Sedia Riverside Hotel / Island Safaris Lodge or similar.

Highlights included : Nature walk and mokoro ride.

 

Day 11. Elephant Sands.

Elephant Sands is a conservancy in Botswana . Elephant Sands drills boreholes to provide supplemental water for the animals as they traverse the land escaping threats of human-wildlife conflict  poaching and drought. Elephants congregate at the natural waterhole right in front of the lodge.

Route : Maun to Nata – 370km – 5hours.

Accommodation : Elephant  Sands or similar.

Highlights included : Watching elephants drinking at waterhole.

 

Day 12. Chobe National Park.

Chobe national park is renowned for its high population of migratory elephants . Sunset boat cruise is one of the most not miss activity in Chobe national park since it has got a say to your safari . Chobe river provides a very broad habitat for bird life and it is possible to see many beautiful species.

Route : Nata to Chobe -270km – 4hours.

Accommodation : Kwalape Safari Lodge / Travelodge / Two Rivers Hotel or similar.

Highlights included : Sunset boat cruise.

 

Day 13. Chobe National Park.

Experience abundant of wildlife in the Chobe national park . African largest concentration of elephants , buffalos , impalas , legendary fish eagle and more bird life along the river . As we continue searching for wildlife by doing morning and afternoon game drives will meander along the banks of the Chobe river.

Accommodation : Kwalape Safari  Lodge / Travelodge / Two Rivers Hotel or similar.

Highlights included : Morning and afternoon game drive.

 

Day 14. Victoria Falls.

Victoria Falls serves as a natural border between Zambia and Zimbabwe , with approximately two-thirds of the falls located in Zimbabwe.

Route : Kasane to Victoria Falls -90km – 2hours.

Accommodation : Own arrangement.

Highlights included : Morning game drive.

Tour end after lunch.
